2007's Top KotOR Mod

by deathdisco.
Veteran modder deathdisco gets the nod this year by adding Coruscant to the Galaxy Map. You can now visit the Jedi Temple, practice your skills, learn a new forms, and get access to some high-level items. But the Jedi Temple isn't just a quiet, austere training center. There's more here than meets the eye.

2007's Top Mods Honors

1. KOTOR II Restoration Mod (The Unrestored Content) by Team Exile
Originally planned to be a supplemental resotration mod to Team-Gizka's TSLRP mod, Team Exile recently disbanded leaving this mod unfinished. This package (70MB) contains a all working files that were to be used for restoration. Even in its current condition, it has garnered a large number of votes from the Holowan community. From the readme:
This is a collection of all the files (excluding m4-78) that were created and/or modified for the cancelled K2RP. They have been uploaded so that maybe someday someone will take these files and finish it. We were really close to reaching the final Pre-TSLRP build, and there wasn’t much to be done after TSLRP was released. There is a list of content that is included in the pack and what was to come. I hope someone picks this up.

2. Peragus Correction Mod by Ulic and Cay
This mod fixes a number of issues in the Prologue, Peragus, and Harbinger modules. Dialogs, scripts, and other game play bugs have been patched with a full list available in forum thread.

3. Five Twin Suns-esque Outfits For Female PCs by Emperor Devon
"MARGLABARSH!" This mod allows female characters to dress like the Twin Suns. Emperor Devon provides five different variants on the sleeves and shoulders. The screenshots speak for themselves.

4. 'Fork' Short Lightsabres by oldflash and Darth InSidious
Just when you thought you knew all about short lightsabers, oldflash and Darth Insidious have provided a new twist with this mod. These "Fork" light sabers are short sabers with two blades pointing the same direction. Some nice modeling work here. This mod has 9 different colors of forked sabers, each fully upgradable with custom icons for the sabers and crystals. Check out the screenshots.

5. PVC Dancers outfit by Kristy Kistic
Oh my. Kristy Kistic did a nice job remodeling and retexturing the female dancer outfits for Mira, Handmaiden, and Exile in 10 different variations. Thigh-high boots and high heels make this mod stand out.

6. Wilhelm Yell by Miles Edgeworth
This simple but oh-so-effective mod makes Atton, male Twil'eks, and Mandalorians scream the Wilhelm Yell upon dying. Genius.
