Minigames

BioWare has decided to include a series of mini-games in the game to provide a little change of pace between the roleplaying-fare and reward the player with some additional diversity of gameplay for his accomplishments. Some of them have to be completed at least once in order to solve a quest or progress the story, while others can be voluntarily played for recreation during your journey!

Ebon Hawk Gunner Station:

Fleeing planets isn't always going to be easy. In a galaxy where everyone is looking for you, there are bound to be some daring escapes. In those situations, it's good to have a heavily armed spaceship at your disposal.

Xbox Controls:
Aim the ships targeting reticle at incoming enemy targets by moving the left thumbstick LEFT and RIGHT, UP and DOWN. Fire the cannons by pulling the left or right triggers to launch a single shot.

Pazaak:

A collectible card game that is somewhat similar to Blackjack or Poker, but with a collectible component to it. You have a maindeck, but also a sidedeck which can be enhanced and customized by finding or buying additional cards during your journey. There is at least one Pazaak player on each planet (usually in the cantina) but the last, and you can also play it aboard your ship, the Ebon Hawk, with Mission Vao.

Swoop Racing:

Your chance to re-enact one of the Phantom Menaces' most memorable scenes! Welcome to the circus of intergalactic high-speed racing! This is a rather simply minigame that sees you racing along different circuits where you have to race over as many Accelerator pads as possible, while at the same time trying to stay clear of the obstacles and trash scattered along the course.

There are Swoop Circuits on three planets:

• Taris: Being the fastest racer on Taris is mandatory for the story to progress. No need to be afraid though; this being the first time you get your hands on a swoop racer in the game, it is rather easy.

• Tatooine: Completing the Tatooine racing series is not necessary for completing the game, but there is a subquest you otherwise won’t get.

• Manaan: On Manaan, racing is solely for kicks, and is not tied into any quests.

Gladiatorial Combat: While this is no full-fledged minigame per se, it is still fun to fight your way through the ranks of up-and-coming gladiators until you are at the very top. The Arena Combat on Taris is necessary in orderto complete the Bounty Hunter sidequest. Time to kick some ass, Mysterious Straaaaanger!
